NameForge does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the service. The filters and preferences you enter (such as name length, themes, or concepts) are sent to the Claude AI API solely to generate your results and are not stored by us.

When you visit NameForge, certain information may be automatically collected, including:

• IP address and general geographic location (country/region level)
• Browser type and version
• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
• Pages visited and time spent on the site
• Referring URL (how you arrived at our site)

NameForge stores the following data in your browser's localStorage — this data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us:

Anthropic (Claude AI API)

We use Anthropic's Claude API to generate names and results based on the filters you enter. Your filter inputs (e.g. theme, character count, starting letter) are sent to Anthropic's servers to generate results. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to show personalised ads based on your interests. See Section 6 below for more details.

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts to serve typefaces. Google may collect your IP address when fonts are loaded. See Google's privacy policy.

External Availability Links

NameForge provides optional links to check domain availability (Instant Domain Search), trademark search (USPTO), and Instagram handle availability. Clicking these links takes you to third-party websites with their own privacy policies. We do not share any data with these services — the links are simply hyperlinks you choose to click.

6. Advertising (Google AdSense)

NameForge uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. This is how we fund the service and keep it free for all users.

How Google AdSense works

Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads that are relevant to your interests. Google may use information about your visits to this and other websites to provide targeted advertisements. This is known as interest-based advertising.

Opting out of personalised ads

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ad Settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance or Your Online Choices (EU).

Data stored in your browser's localStorage (favourites, history, votes) persists until you clear your browser data or uninstall your browser. You are in full control of this data.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to rectification — You can request correction of inaccurate data

NameForge is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
